All fees stated include local VAT (23%)

Academic: Scientists employed by academic, research or scientific organizations.

Non-academic: Non-academic / industry delegates.

Young scientist: Up to 35 years of age (at time of registration payment); a scanned copy of ID showing date of birth (and any additional supporting docs for over 35s with special circumstances – see registration form) is to be provided during registration.

Registration Fee for Participants includes:

  • Admission to all scientific sessions
  • Entrance to poster & exhibition area
  • Lunches and coffee breaks
  • Name badge and all printed materials
  • Congress bag
  • Invitation to Welcome Reception
  • Krakow public transport pass valid during the Congress

Registration Fee for Accompanying Persons includes:

  • Invitation to Welcome Reception
  • Krakow public transport pass valid during the congress

Travel and accommodation costs are not covered by the registration fee.

Summary of 2019 FEBS Congress participant support schemes for FEBS members*

FEBS Bursaries: for early-career researchers presenting work as first author who are members of FEBS Constituent Societies and travelling from outside Poland. For full details, see the FEBS Bursaries page. 

PTBioch Bursaries: for young researchers from Poland presenting work at the 2019 FEBS Congress as first author who are members of PTBioch. For full details, see the PTBioch Bursaries page. 

FEBS YSF Grants: for scientists selected to take part in the FEBS Young Scientists' Forum immediately preceding the FEBS Congress (YSF participants also attend the FEBS Congress). For more information, see the YSF section of the website. 

FEBS Sprinzl Scheme: for researchers presenting work at the 2019 FEBS Congress who are members of FEBS Constituent Societies in HINARI A or B countries in the FEBS area. For full details, see the FEBS Sprinzl page.

*A 'FEBS member' is a member of one of the national biochemical and molecular biology societies that make up FEBS – its Constituent Societies.
