By public transport

The ICE Kraków Congress Centre is located in the very heart of Krakow, next to the main transport hubs serving this part of Krakow. There are numerous bus stops in the immediate vicinity of ICE Kraków.

The best way to order a taxi is by telephone.

By car

The underground car park is unguarded and paid, available to all the guests of ICE Kraków Congress Centre.
Price per hour is 4,00 PLN. The first 30 minutes are free of charge.

The car park is available to visitors:
  • from Monday to Friday between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
  • from Saturday to Sunday between 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

By train to Kraków Main Train Station

The new Kraków Airport train station is located near the passenger terminal, at the rear of the multistorey car park. The connection is operated by Koleje Małopolskie (regional railways company operating in Małopolska Region). Trains are equipped with air conditioning, power outlets, Wi-Fi and ticket machines. All trains also have spaces for disabled passengers and persons with reduced mobility (PRM).

By bus

Krakow Airport is served by regular bus line: 252.

Registration is located in the Foyer level F0, on the right side from the main entrance.

All materials including badge and conference bag will be handed to registered participants during the following opening hours:

Your name badge has to be worn at all times to gain access to the sessions.

SPEAKERS' READY ROOM Uploading your presentation onsite.

Your presentation must be handed over to the technicians in the SPEAKERS' READY ROOM (Foyer level F0, next to the Registration desk) as much in advance as possible, but no later than TWO HOURS BEFORE the beginning of the corresponding session. The presentation for an early morning session must be handed over the day before. In the SPEAKERS’ READY ROOM, you will be assisted by the technician, who will help you to download your presentation to the intranet. You will also be able to review your presentation and to verify that it has been transferred correctly to the network.

Speakers' ready room will be available at the following times:

8 July 2019 (Monday) 08:00-18:30
9 July 2019 (Tuesday) 08:00-18:30

There are over 1 300 posters accepted for the Congress Programme. Posters will be hung only on the day when the relevant poster session will take place. There are four poster sessions during this year`s Congress:
  • Sunday, July 7, 15:00-16:15,
  • Monday, July 8, 14:45-16:15,
  • Tuesday, July 9, 14:45-16:15,
  • Wednesday, July 10, 14:45-16:15.

For further important details on poster preparation and poster presentation sessions, please refer to the Poster Guidelines page of the Congress website. We also remind you that you are invited to upload a video introduction to your poster on the FEBS Network, as explained in the Latest News section of the Congress website.

The titles of accepted abstracts will be included in the program book given to delegates on site. Full abstracts will be available via: (1) the Congress app (see below), (2) the abstract search/display facility on the Congress website, or (3) except for late-breaking abstracts, the online Congress supplement of FEBS Open Bio (available from 5 July 2019). You will find more guidance on this next week in the ‘Latest news’ section of the Congress website.


The FEBS 2019 Congress app is now available for download from your app store; see the Latest news post about the app for more details. We strongly recommend downloading the app ahead of the event. 

The FEBS 2019 Congress app includes the full Congress programme, with searchable abstracts, floor plans, and exhibitor information. The app can also be used to create your own Congress schedule, take notes, rate posters, and evaluate symposia. Register in the app to message other app users and contribute to the event social feed. Your Certificate of Attendance will be available to download from the Congress website via your participant account after the event (Downloads section). If applicable, you will also find an Abstract Acceptance Certificate in the Abstracts section of your participant account.
